WorkerOps — a guardian that lets Cloudflare Workers update themselves safely
A tiny Worker placed in front of any Cloudflare Worker. It handles updates, post-deploy health checks, automatic rollback on failure and a recovery screen. Open source.
On Cloudflare Workers, a running Worker cannot safely roll itself back: if the new version is broken, the thing that would perform the rollback is broken too. WorkerOps stands in front of your app as a small, always-alive guardian that takes care of updates, verification, automatic rollback and recovery.
What it does#
- Update — fetch a new worker.js from your release source and deploy it through the Cloudflare API
- Verify and auto-revert — check health after deploying and return to the last good version if unhealthy
- Recovery screen — roll back, reinstall or update with a button, even while the app is down
- Resumable — every stage is recorded; a periodic watchdog cleans up after interruptions
- Zero runtime dependencies; about 8 KiB gzipped
